Australian Visas for GPs program will cease on 16 September 2023
The “Visas for GPs” initiative will conclude on 16 September 2023, eliminating the need for International Medical Graduates (IMGs) employers to secure a Health Workforce Certificate (HWC). Subclass 191 Visa Application fee increase effective from 1st July 2023
Subclass 191 Permanent Residence Regional – if applications for the SC 191 visa can be made by both primary and secondary SC 491 visa holders. The regulations do not stipulate that a primary applicant for a subclass 191 visa must have been either the primary or secondary applicant in the provisional visa application. Therefore, a subclass 491 visa holder can apply for a subclass 191 visa if they meet the relevant requirements, regardless of whether they were granted the subclass 491 visa as the primary or secondary applicant.
