What the Australia post-study pathway route requires

Australia's post-study pathway is a time-sensitive transition from eligible local study into a published graduate, job-search, employment or residence category. It is not an automatic reward for completing a course.

  • Route: Post-study Work and Graduate Transition
  • Authority: Australian Department of Home Affairs
  • Locations: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane
  • Evidence review due: 14 August 2026

Evidence HRA checks before application spend

HRA connects the current official route position to the applicant's profile. The review does not promise approval; it identifies missing evidence, route risks and the next decision that needs human verification.

  • eligible qualification
  • completion timing
  • current immigration status
  • employment transition plan

Planning guidance

From enquiry to a controlled next step

The first review separates information gathering from legal or filing decisions. A counsellor checks the profile, confirms current source validity and records the recommended action before an application package can begin.

  • Course and institution eligibility check
  • Deadline and status audit
  • Graduate route versus sponsored work comparison
  • Application and evidence submission
